What is a Homestay programme?
BunkOut offers homestay experiences and connects students with local hosts who open their homes for long-term and short-term student accommodation. This is exactly the essence of a homestay programme! We are currently available in Greater Manchester with new cities being added every day.

Who will you be hosting?
You will be hosting international students coming from all over the world to Manchester to improve their English skills by studying at an English Language School. We are personally checking and vetting each student.
How does it work?
It is quite simple! You open your house to host one or two international students for a short-term or long-term. We vet and select a student who will have you as a host. After the student is moving in, he/she will make regular payments (every week) to us and we will be transferring the money to you. We will check in regularly with both of you to make sure you are comfortable.

Advantages of homestays?
If you like to travel, but you never have the time, while hosting you can become an ambassador for United Kingdom and help immerse a young person in the British culture. Some hosts and students become friends and stay in contact even after the end of the programme! You will be part of someone else’s life and first-time experience in Manchester – this in itself has been very rewarding for the families who have joined our network of hosts!
An obvious benefit for hosts is the additional income. If you have the space, you can host a maximum of 2 students. This means that you can earn up to £7,500 per year Tax-Free for renting out a room.
